Ella Yelich-O'Connor, a.k.a. Lorde, stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. It was the New Zealand singer-songwriter's American television debut after releasing her first studio album, Pure Heroine. She performed her hit single "Royals" as well as "White Teeth Teens" (web exclusive).

She looked deeply focused on set with her eyes closed as she sang. Her stage presence is very mature for a 16 year old — not mature in a sexual way but in an I-know-what-I-am-doing way. Her dancing was subdued and almost purposely haunting. It consisted of "Thriller" movements with her hands and pulling back her long curly brown locks. Her darkness and mystique really allowed her music to do the talking.

Check out the two performances here, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
