Tame Impala is currently working on the follow-up to 2012's Lonerism, but don't expect keyboardist Jay Watson to know much about the process. Singer Kevin Parker hasn't let him in on many of the details.

"I guess probably cause he knows someone like me'll get drunk and then say stuff about it in interviews! Which is a very real possibility," Watson told Faster Louder. "It's probably best I don't say anything because I'll get in more trouble than you will."

He did have a hint that might irk some rock fans, though.

"[It's] probably gonna be less rock again and more electronic again, even more than the last one," Watson said. "It's gonna be awesome, everything he does is awesome."

Parker talked about the album process earlier this month.

"For me, I'm working on it all the time and I'm so involved in it, that it's almost impossible to tell how far away it is from being finished," he said. "I'm always adding things to it and taking things away. It's like a piece of clay, slowly shaping into something. You could just stop at any moment and it would be finished. It would be something. It would be a sculpture or a bowl or whatever. And you could keep fingering it forever, and it wouldn't necessarily be more finished or better. It is just up to you to decide when that piece of clay is something."

Earlier this year, Parker was in faux trouble when Rata.cl accused Tame Impala of stealing Pablo Ruiz's 1989 song "Océano" for their 2012 cut "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards."

The story went viral, but any legal battles were quickly shot down when the accusers said they weren't being serious.

"It was a joke," Rata.cl editors Raúl Álvarez and Patricio Pérez said."We were at a party and had that idea. Curiously, it was viralized pretty fast. We never thought we'd had this impact, and we're very surprised about it."

Freed from litigation, the band currently has four scheduled tour stops:

11/9: New York, NY @ Beacon Theatre
11/12: Los Angeles, CA @ Shrine Auditorium
11/13: Las Vegas, NV @ Brooklyn Bowl
11/15: Oakland, CA @ Fox Theatre
