Reality TV has been America's guilty pleasure for some time now and the love connection between the different series swamping cable networks and hip-hop is undeniable. Countless rappers and singers have appeared on reality shows but Trina says she isn't going for it. Following the release of her new video for "F--k Love," she explained why she decided to steer clear of the small screen by turning down Love & Hip-Hop Miami.

As reported by Sister2Sister, Trina voiced her opinion on reality television and her disdain with some of the things presented on the show.

"I like it, but I have limits with that," Trina recently told VLAD TV about reality TV. "It's entertaining, for the most part, but I think there is so much more that you can offer on television than boobs flying out, shoes throwing, hair pulling, drinks in the face."

Although artists who have appeared on reality shows have benefited from the exposure, the Miami rapstress thinks signing on may serve as a step back in her career.

"People obviously like the entertainment of it," she said. "It's nothing for me to do. I'm not going to feel like I've worked this hard to come this far to go back there."

The "Pull Over" rapper revealed that she was approached to appear on a Miami spin off of the LHH series. She even hinted at possibly working on her own show, as long as it doesn't run along the lines of VH1's infamous hit show.

"I'm more on a Sex and the City type vibe with it," she explained. "Me and my girlfriends we talk about real life stuff. I'm in talks ... The thing about it is, we're discussing what I want to do in the show. What you put out there is what you put out there and there's no coming back from that."
