Ariana Grande wants a little something from Santa Claus this year... a man to be with her for more than just one year. Following a stunning performance at last night's American Music Awards, Grande released her latest Christmas single "Santa Tell Me."
"I been down this road before / Fell in love on Christmas night / But I knew he was here then I woke up and he wasn't by my side / Now I need someone to hold / Be my fire in the cold / But it's hard to tell if this is just a fling or if it's true," Grande sings before asking Santa if he's really there, because she doesn't want the big old man in red to bring her just any other temporary man.
The lyrics are an interesting twist on the old Christmas lyrical standard of "I want love for Christmas," and addresses the question... what happens after the mistletoe has been taken down? Is there any guarantee for non-snowy love? Grande wants her insurance.
The music is no big jump for the singer, who released four Christmas singles last year. 'Santa Tell Me" would fit in snuggly with hr othe to original holiday songs "Snow in California" and "Love is Everything," with plenty of jingle bells to go around.

"Santa Tell Me" is Ariana Grande's latest Christmas single, but it's not her first time releasing holiday-themed music. Last year the "Love Me Harder" singer released the Christmas Kisses EP, featuring "Snow in California," "Love is Everything," "Last Christmas" and "Santa Baby."
