Rick Ross has given the winter another batch of bombastic hip hop anthems and with Hood Billionaire hitting stores today, he wastes no time giving that new music some visuals to match. Now Ross has released the music video for "If They Knew", featuring K. Michelle. The video tells the short story of two star-crossed lovers who are both in separate relationships, but their heart wants what it wants and they look to each other to find something real.
K. Michelle stars throughout the video in various outfits including a gold onesie, dancing in a laundromat. Rick Ross looks lavish as always, wearing various furs and chains that he has probably been using for his #ROSSFIT program to get his neck muscles in shape. The video features cameos by Maybach Music signee, French Montana and ASAP Ferg (via Radio.com).
You typical themes of attractive woman, fancy cars and partying are included, but the motif of dirty laundry prevails throughout as a commentary on the relationship.
Hood Billionaire did not stray from his time-tested drug-lord, money raining, and bottle popping anthems that have made Rick Ross the boss that he is. His poise behind the microphone and charisma delivering his lyrics make each song that much more impressive. The tracks are very entertaining, and the production is top notch, especially with the Timbaland assisted "If They Knew."
Rick Ross has been busy in the studio this year, managing to put out not just one, but two full-length albums in 2014. His previous album Mastermind was released in March and today sees Hood Billionaire hit stores.
