Post-punk legends The Pop Group reunited back in 2010 after nearly 30 years apart, but today the highly influential band announced their first post-reunion album Citizen Zombie and premiered its title track over at Noisey, which you can check out below. Citizen Zombie will be The Pop Group's first studio album since their 1980 sophomore effort For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder?

"The energy is still there, the ideas are still there," singer Mark Edwards said of the state of the Pop Group in a statement (via Rolling Stone), "it still fizzes with a life that most young bands just don't have."

Though The Pop Group self-produced their first two studio albums, for Citizen Zombie they'll be working with producer Paul Epworth, who has previously worked with such non-punk acts as Coldplay and Paul McCartney. and even won Producer of the Year at the 2012 Grammies for his work on Adele's megaselling 21 album. Despite his serious mainstream pop credentials, Edwards is eager to work with Epworth on developing the Pop Group's famously challenging and experimental sound.

"From his work with Phones onwards, I've loved [Epwrth's] work and think he's one of the world's best producers," Edwards says, "He gave us the freedom to create and, with his help, destiny rides again for The Pop Group."

Citizen Zombie is set for release on Feb. 25th, and according to Rolling Stone, the band will be hitting the road in March for their first ever U.S. tour. You can check out those dates right here.
