Headwinds are picking back up from Toronto. Not just the cold air you are about to feel, or that snow that is hitting the Eastern seaboard, but rather news about new Drake material. Demar Derozan of the Toronto Raptors, has revealed that a new Drake mixtape is on its way in January of 2015 (via The Source).

The Raptors, who currently own the best record in basketball at 12-2, have been demolishing teams this year. Their most high-profile celebrity is Drake, unlike The New York Knicks or the Los Angeles Lakers who have celebs littered up and down the arena courtside. Drake has been seen celebrating wins with the team and was a mainstay during their playoff run last year. Most notably, his antics using a lint roller on the sideline during games have left people puzzled and also amused at such a Drake-like moment.

Speaking on NBA TV's Fan Night Pre-Game show, Dezoran talked about what it was like to have Drake around and revealed that the Canadian rapper had given Derozan a new mixtape set for release in January.

This would be Drake's first mixtape since 2009 when So Far Gone hit the internet. So Far Gone was his first breakout hit and helped propel him to the success he is having today. He landed two Grammy nominations with the project. At the end of October, he decided to drop some brand new free music on his fans without warning. He has also announced that his upcoming album will be titled View From The 6, but there is no release date yet. A new mixtape would suggest that Drake has been recording a lot of music and 2015 could be a big year for him. Watch the full video with Demar Derozen on the NBA's website.
