Since its inception back in 1983, Megadeth has had 19 musicians run through its line-up, with the only constant member being guitarist and lead vocalist Dave Mustaine. But it looks like Mustaine will have to start looking for two more musicians, as both guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover have separately announced their departures from the legendary thrash metal band.

"After 10 years, I have decided to quit Megadeth to pursue my own musical interests," Drover wrote in a statement, via Brave Words. "I want to thank Dave Mustaine and the entire Megadeth family, as well as thanking all the amazing Megadeth fans around the world!!! I truly appreciate all of you. Stay tuned for info on my next musical journey."

Just hours after Drover announced his departure, Broderick announced his own departure from Megadeth through a separate statement posted to his website.

"Due to artistic and musical differences, it is with great reluctance that I announce my departure fro Megadeth to pursue my own musical direction," Broderick wrote. "I want all of you to know how much I appreciate the amount that you the fans have accepted and respected me as a member of Megadeth for the last seven years, but it is time for me to move on. I wish Dave and everyone in Megadeth all the best."

Just like Drover had done, Broderick also promises new music in the near future.

"I am working on a few things of my own," he said, "and hope that when they come out, you will all dig it."

Neither Megadeth nor Dave Mustaine has yet released a statement regarding the departure of Drover and Broderick.
