Spotify has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The Swedish music streaming company recently posted its financial statements, which showed a 74 percent increase in revenue in 2013. So despite negative headlines from artists against the streaming model, it looks like things aren't too bad for the company. In the spirit of giving thanks, Spotify has launched a new program to help you out this Thanksgiving called the Time For Turkey playlist generator.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the new program calculates the time needed for a Thanksgiving turkey to cook — based on the USDA's roasting timetable — then matches that timeframe with a custom playlist to make the cooking process more fun for holiday chefs and their helpers in the kitchen.

To get started, users must enter the weight of the bird and mark whether it is stuffed or unstuffed then choose the mood for the playlist from six category options including "Freshly Baked" (New jams hot and fresh off the charts), "Golden Oldies" (A classic recipe of hits like mom used to listen to), "Club Kitchen" (Songs for dancing up an appetite), "Americana" (The ultimate soundtrack for a truly American holiday), "Feeling Thankful" (From thank you for being a friend to thank you for the music), and "Family Time" (Grandma and the nephew are in the kitchen, and they're both saying: "turn it up") to inform what songs are played.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the average weight of a Thanksgiving Day turkey is about 15 pounds with a USDA-recommended cook temperature of 325° Fahrenheit, so the majority of users will get about four hours or so of music while their bird cooks.
