Garth Brooks has one heavy hitter in his new arsenal of songs, and it's a tribute to mother's everywhere titled "Mom." He made Robin Roberts and some audience members of Good Morning America break down earlier this month with the Man Against Machine ballad. Now, there's video from the singer's Nov. 25 stop at The Ellen DeGeneres Show and he gets the host a little teary-eyed there too. Brooks himself has trouble keeping it together during the song too.

"This is a conversation that goes on between God and this unborn child that's going down to Earth, and when God describes what a mom is, it just kills me," the country star said, Taste of Country notes. "I'm gonna try to get through this. Forgive me if I don't ... I'm a mama's boy."

Brooks has said that "Mom" rivals his 1990 hit, "The Dance," as his personal favorite.

The singer was scheduled to appear on a few other talk shows this week, but he decided to postpone out of respect for the recent grand jury decision in Ferguson to not indict police officer Darren Wilson on charges for killing Michael Brown.

"We landed in NY last night to the news of the civil unrest that was going on in our nation. To spend the day promoting our stuff like nothing was wrong, seemed distasteful to me," he wrote in a statement Tuesday (the Ellen appearance was pre-taped). "I will gladly reschedule any or all appearances the networks will allow. Love one another, g"

Man Against Machine hit number four on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Top Country Albums charts. "Mom" is the second single from the effort, following "People Loving People."

Brooks also treated the Ellen crowd to the lively classic, "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)."
