Frank Ocean has adjusted his tour schedule after recent unrest in Egypt left more than 50 protestors dead in Cairo on Monday. The R&B star had planned on stopping in Cairo in between his tour loops in Europe and Australia.

Egypt has been in disarray since massive protests and military involvement led to the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi. Morsi had only served a little over a year following similar protests against Hosni Mubarak in 2011. The military controlled the state until 2012. Clashes between protestors and Morsi's supporters has turned Cairo into a minor-war zone.

Ocean is still stopping in Africa however, saying on Thursday that he would travel to South Africa instead to pay homage to ailing President Nelson Mandela.

"I really wanted to go to Cairo in between Europe and Australia," he wrote on his blog. "Might let things settle some...go to South Africa instead and place some flowers on a gate for the president. For being epic and 94."

Ocean didn't have any performances scheduled for the stop in Egypt, nor does he have anything other than a public appearance scheduled for South Africa. He will arrive in Australia on July 25, where he will play back-to-back dates in Melbourne before heading to Byron Bay for a music festival experience. He'll play one additional date in Sydney on July 29 before heading to Canada.

Ocean generated a bit of additional buzz last week when he performed two new tracks at a sold-out show in London on Tuesday. He told the O2 Academy that he wanted to "test out" the tracks "Feel California" and "Anything For You."
