Back in October, Bob Dylan confirmed that his next studio album Shadows in the Night, a collection of Frank Sinatra covers, would be released at some point in 2015, and today, Dec. 9, Dylan has revealed more details about the album, including its release date and tracklist. The album is set for release on Feb. 3 through Columbia Records, and was reportedly recorded entirely live.

"It was a real privilege to make this album," Dylan said in a press release (via Stereogum). "I've wanted to do something like this for a long time but was never brave enough to approach 30-piece complicated arrangements and refine them down for a 5-piece band. That's the key to all these performances."

"We knew these songs extremely well," Dylan continues. "It was all done live. Maybe one or two takes. No overdubbing. No vocal booths. No headphones. No separate tracking, and, for the most part, mixed as it was recorded. I don't see myself as covering these songs in any way. They've been covered enough. Buried, as a matter of fact. What me and my band are basically doing is uncovering them. Lifting them out of the grave and bringing them into the light of day."

Shadows in the Night will be Dylan's 36th studio album overall, his first since 2012's Tempest. However, 2014 has seen the release of some significant Dylan-related projects, including The Bootleg Series Vol. 11: The Basement Tapes Complete, which compiles lost recordings from Dylan's famed "Basement Tapes" sessions with The Band in 1967, and The New Basement Tapes, an album of previously unused Dylan lyrics set to new music by Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, Jim James, and others.
