Record Store Day continues its biannual tradition this year with festivities on Black Friday, Nov. 29. In addition to its April celebration, the holiday expanded the past two years (and this year) to include another day to hunt for limited-edition vinyl releases.

According to Record Store Day's website this year's notable special releases include:

- "Black on Black" edition of Queens of the Stone Age's Like Clockwork
- Bob Dylan rarities collection called Side Tracks
- Remix album of Elvis Costello and The Root's Wise Up Ghost
- The Flaming Lips new EP Peace Sword
- Split 7" of Low's cover of Rihanna's "Stay" and Shearwater's cover of Frank Ocean's "Novacane"
- Reissue of Nas's "Halftime" single from 1992
- Special Edition of Metallica's Through the Never soundtrack.
- Josh Tillman's (Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes) The History of Caves soundtrack.
- Doors compilation album curated by Record Store Day, featuring rare takes and live tracks.
- Live releases from Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews, Band of Horses and Dawes
- Reissue of Stone Temple Pilot's debut album Core
- Red Hot Chili Pepper's singles compilation album
- Remix of Nirvana's In Utero
- Duran Duran live acoustic album, No Ordinary EP
