Jessica Chambers' gruesome murder two nights ago in rural Mississippi has to be one of the most disturbing in recent history. The 19-year-old was spotted by emergency workers burning alive, walking from her also engulfed car, and with her last breath she reportedly named her killer. Chambers was flown to a hospital in Memphis where she later succumbed to her injuries. Panola County police are now working over time to try and piece together who is responsible for such a heinous act.

Chambers is seen on surveillance footage pumping gas at about 6:30 p.m. and police are trying to figure out what happened to her within the next 90 minutes because her burning body was found at around 8 p.m. Her family has confirmed that lighter fluid was poured down her throat and up her nose, maximizing her internal injuries. She was unrecognizable when rescuers reached her, as Chambers had burns over 98 percent of her body.

Investigators have indicated that her final words are a huge clue in solving her death. Her phone was also recovered a few feet from her car, and those close to the case seem to believe that it is going to also provide valuable information in serving this investigation. Police also seem to believe that Chambers' killer was traveling in her car with her, at least for awhile. Her friends have said that Chambers was currently single but that she recently broke off an abusive relationship. That detail is something that officials are remaining tight-lipped about for now.

This case has terrified Chambers' small hometown of Courtland, Mississippi but it has also made a huge impact on the rest of the country as well. It's really hard to imagine those last few minutes of this poor girl's life. Let's hope that Panola County investigators make an arrest soon.
