Things are looking a little shaky for American Idol season 14. Earlier this week, FOX announced that the show has officially been trimmed down to one night a week, and now one of the singing competition's longtime sponsors, Coca-Cola has ended its partnership with the show.

Yes, those giant Coca-Cola and Diet Coke cups that sit in front of Idol judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. will no longer be there, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The end of the partnership comes after 13 seasons of Coke and American Idol goodness.

Ford still remains on board as a sponsor for the show. American Idol is reportedly looking for other major sponsors to join the show before the season premiere on Jan. 7, 2015.

The loss of Coke is a major blow for American Idol and another move in the show seemingly losing relevancy and clout in the industry. Once an unbeatable cash cow and ratings giant for FOX, the 13th season if Idol was preceded by the loss of AT&T as a sponsor. Like Coca-Cola, AT&T had been with Idol since season one.

American Idol season 14 will also look a little different for longtime fans of the show. As Music Times reported earlier this week, the show has been streamlined to one day per week. Idol's longtime host Ryan Seacrest revealed that the show's live performance show and results show will be merged into one episode.

The announcement of a once a week Idol follow's the trimming down of the results show last year, which went from 60 minutes to a cool 30 mid-season.

American Idol will return on Jan. 7, 2015.
