Even though he has no upcoming album or mixtape projects that we know about, Wiz Khalifa keeps dropping new songs, his latest being the exceptionally trippy and laidback "Smoke Chambers," which you can check out below. The song heavily samples fellow stoner Mac DeMarco's synthpop number "Chamber of Reflection" from his latest album Salad Days, even keeping DeMarco's original "alone again" vocal hook, which ties in to Khalifa's theme of the alienation his fame has brought him. This is the sort of hazy production that Khalifa should be using more often.

Here's Mac DeMarco's original "Chamber of Reflection," just in case you were curious (it's really not that different):

Wiz Khalifa's latest album Blacc Hollywood was released back in August through Rostrum and Atlantic Records, and was his fifth album overall, his first since 2012's O.N.I.F.C. The album featured guest appearances by Ty Dolla $ign, Project Pat, Juicy J, Curren$y, Ghost Loft, Chevy Woods, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Schoolboy Q, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Jeezy, and Pimp C.

Mac DeMarco's latest album Salad Days was released back in April. It was DeMarco's second full-length album, his first since his 2012 full-length debut 2, and was recently named one of the year's best albums by NME and Rolling Stone.

"I listen to all different types of music," Khalifa recently told Hunger TV, which would explain his apparent fondness for Mac DeMarco's music. "I'm inspired by rock 'n' roll, pop, reggae. I'm inspired by people's careers in general as well as the type of person that they are. It's not necessarily any rapper or one or two people. It's the type of career that I would like to have, which is a mixture of different artists."
