Following the announcement of their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will be hitting the road to open for The Who on their 50th anniversary tour in North America.

The U.S. jaunt kicks off on April 15 in Tampa before heading to Miami, Austin Nashville, Chicago, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Detroit, Toronto and more. It is divided into two parts, a spring section that goes for 20 dates through the end of may and a fall section that includes about 25 dates continuing to the end of November.

Jett and the Blackhearts will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cleveland on April 18, just three days after the tour begins.

The Who Hits 50! Tour began on Nov. 30 in Glasgow but had to be paused due to singer Roger Daltrey coming down with a throat infection. The last two dates in London have been rescheduled or March 22 and 23.

"Having Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, a great American rock band, support us on our North American dates will ensure concert-goers a full night of entertainment," Daltrey said in a statement. "I love her."

"We've been very close friends with Joan Jett for a long time," added Pete Townshend. "She is the real deal. This will be a great night of rock and roll for everyone."
