'Tis the season to be thankful, spread joy and of course sing songs. Rich Homie Quan, whose preferred medium is normally rhythmic spoken word, has stepped a bit outside of his normal comfort zone to sing some timeless Christmas classics. Dequantes Lamar, better known as Rich Homie Quan, has teamed up with XXL to sing "Silent Night" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." The "Type Of Way" rapper does his very best to hit all the high notes, but in the end really just captures the Christmas spirit of the songs. Watch the beautiful rendition of "Silent Night" below (via Pigeons and Planes).

Equipped with a Santa hat with a big fuzzy ball hanging quite low, some round, brown tinted sunglasses, because why not, and large gold chains, Rich Homie Quan brings the holiday cheer from his living room to yours. He doesn't exactly know all the words, but it is the spirit and the thought that counts and he nails the essence of Christmas with these videos.

Maybe his neighbors will be see Homie Quan out on the streets caroling with the best of them. We can only dream he would go out and spread some Christmas spirit. Of course somebody would have to be there to film it. It may be time for Quan to record a Christmas album and tab some other rappers to come in and do all of the standards.

2014 has been a breakout year for Rich Homie Quan. "Type Of Way" has become a pop culture phrase and his new work has gotten heavy radio play. With 2014 heading into the rearview mirror, he looks towards 2015 with even bigger and bolder aspirations, beyond singing Christmas standards.
