If you wanted to bring Foo Fighters to your Italian town, what would you do? If your answer was, "make a bizarre promotional video, gather 1000 friends and create the world's biggest cover band," well, you and the city of Cesena, Italy, have a little something in common.

A promotional video for "Rockin 1000" is making its rounds around the Internet, featuring one man's quest to bring Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters to his town on the band's upcoming Sonic Highways Tour. The idea is simple: bring Foo Fighters to Cesena through the power of persuasion.

The video, which is all in Italian (a language we do not speak on Music Times) seems to depict one man's quest to bring Foo Fighters to Cesena. He invokes a floating Grohl head, talks to friends about his crazy cover band idea and then auditions presumably thousands of fans of the "Something From Nothing" band.

The song? "Learn to Fly." (Though the video is set to "Best of You...")

The results of the project have yet to come to fruition, but here's to trying!

Watch the promotional video below, and once again, it's in Italian, so get your pocket dictionaries out.
