As reported on Friday, Julian Casablancas + The Voidz were forced to cancel Australian and Asian tour dates thanks to things beyond their control.

"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen logistical circumstances, we must cancel our planned trip to Australia and Asia," the group announced. "The band is hoping to announce new dates sometime in the New Year and are disappointed that it can't be right now and are very sorry for all and any inconvenience."

Casablancas added statements on Saturday, saying "full refunds are available" via his Facebook page, and added that they would be back on the road in May after getting in some required studio work.

"My sweet friends, helas, twisn't for any other reason but business mathematics for this cancellation mega-bummer," he wrote.

2014 has been ground zero for Casablancas + The Voidz, who released their debut, Tyranny, and have been touring ever since.

They recently finished up a European leg that took them through Denmark, the Netherlands, France, England and several other countries. As Casablancas claims, the group is not facing any personal issues, just business ones. But he alluded to the former in an interview with GQ this year.

"A band is a great way to destroy a friendship," he said (via NME). "And a tour's a great way to destroy a band."

Casablancas would know; his years as the primary songwriter of The Strokes have produced plenty of band dischord. But so far, however, things have gone well with The Voidz. The cancelled dates are their first hiccup, and if the group is to be believed, we have nothing to worry about as they record their second album.
