Although Prince attempted to remove himself and his music from the Internet a few weeks ago, the legendary artist is apparently still using the web to promote his latest albums Art Official Age and Plectrumelectrum. Today (Dec. 23), the Purple One has premiered the lyric video for his Plectrumelectrum track "Anotherlove," an amped-up cover of Alice Smith's song from her 2013 album She. The video combines plenty of swirling psychedelic imagery with clips from Prince's recent performance on Saturday Night Live with his new backing band 3rdEyeGirl, and in true Prince fashion, all of the lyrics on the screen are written in his signature shorthand ("4" instead of "for," "2" instead of "to," all that jazz).

You can check out Alice Smith's original version of "Another Love" right here, just in case you were curious. Her version is far more subdued and R&B influenced:

Plectrumelectrum was released simultaneously with Prince's latest solo album Art Official Age on Sept. 30. It was the debut album of 3rdEyeGirl, and was Prince's 33rd (or 34th, however you want to slice it) album overall, his first since 2010's 20Ten.

"I don't have time for old people," Prince told The Minnesota Star Tribune on why he chose to work with the young members of 3rdEyeGirl, "I want to work with young people...They are like my kids. And I'm learning from them. Young people have the new ideas."

"I have my legacy. It's time for their legacy," he went on to say about his band. "They don't care about the world. They care about music."
