Chicago MC, Lil Herb is capping off the year with a brand new 10-track mixtape, Pistol P Project. The follow up to his February tape, Welcome To Fazoland, Herb builds on his hard-hitting sound with Pistol P Project. Lil Herb explores a range of personal issues dear to him and issues facing Chicago, including the gun violence that plagues the city and the struggle to grow up in that environment as a 19-year-old black man.

The mixtape is largely just Lil Herb, but it also has features from Katie Got Bandz, Jace and Zuce. Pistol P Project features haunting instrumentals that keeps with the themes Lil Herb raps about from DJ FU, DJ L, Mekanikz, Childish Major and others.

Lil Herb first gained plaudits after his single, "Kill S-t" with Lil Bibby, was released in 2012. He then gained national attention with the release of Welcome to Fazoland and he has since collaborated with Nicki Minaj and Chance The Rapper while earning praise from Drake on Twitter, who said that he was "the future."

The MC is currently working on the follow up to the Pistol P Project with Common, titled Ballin' Like I'm Kobe, which is slated for release sometime in 2015.
