Lil Wayne has been embroiled in a public and heated battle with his label YMCMB over the release of his album Tha Carter V, but that has not stopped him from continuing to record music. According to several Instagram posts — surely not by accident — Lil Wayne has been in the studio with various different producers and rappers working on new music in lieu of his album getting released, via Hot New Hip Hop. The latest picture he posted on his Instagram puts him and Atlanta trio Migos in the studio together after a night out at LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida. With the caption "No sleep s-t," they might have just gone straight from the club to go record.

Both parties have been embroiled in controversy in 2014, though those talking points have gone in different directions of late. Migos were involved in a heated dispute with Chief Keef and his Glory Boyz Entertainment crew that came to blows on several occasions and some death threats via social media. The two sides resolved their differences over some party enhancers and have not had any falling-outs since then. They even went so far as to caption one of their Instagram photos "Miglo," which mashes Migos and Glory from Glory Boyz Entertainment.

Lil Wayne has had a public and protracted battle with Birdman and Cash Money Records over the release of Tha Carter V. The president of his side of the label Young Money, Mack Maine, assured fans in an interview that the album would be out in the first quarter of 2015, but there was still work to be done to resolve the differences between both sides. Lil Wayne has promised a new mixtape for fans — Sorry for the Wait 2 — as a result of the new album being delayed.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this potential collaboration, if anything is released.
