Avicii has had a restful end of 2014 after taking the last few months of the year off to recuperate from lingering health issues. This has given the Swedish superstar producer plenty of time to work in the studio and make new music. He is working on the follow up album to his 2013 album True, titled Stories, and has given us a peak at what the Avicii brain trust has been creating over the past few months with several different releases. One of those releases, "The Nights," which was included on the FIFA '15, just got a remix by Avicii, as he continues the trend of remixing himself via YourEDM.

"The Nights" is a country-infused dance tune, much in the same pattern that we have seen from Avicii since the release of "Wake Me Up." His own remix takes a very different approach to the track, flipping the script on the easygoing, guitar driven instrumental for a hard, grinding electro bass line that is better suited for the large arena and festival stages that Avicii calls home.

"The Nights" was originally included on the FIFA '15 soundtrack, but was later officially released as a part of a four-track EP with its daytime counterpart, "The Days."

This is not the first time that Avicii has remixed himself. Earlier this year, he released Avicii by Avicii, which was a full remix album of True by himself, adding similar danceable remixes to his own pop and radio driven records.

Avicii will be back on the road to do more festival gigs coming up at the end of February and beginning of March for Future Music Festival Australia. After this much time spent in the studio, he will certainly have some new material to play out to his fans down under.
