Many rappers put out way more music than they can possibly release on LPs, which is why we're constantly getting new Chief Keef mixtapes and we'll be getting new Tupac Shakur material until we ourselves are dead (at which point we hope we can put out a record as well). The best rappers know that a majority of the work they put out isn't album-worthy, which is why it never sees the light of day. A few double-album exceptions exist, such as Shakur's All Eyez On Me and The Notorious B.I.G.'s Life After Death, but nothing could have prepared us for what Akon has planned for 2015: A five-disc set of original material titled Stadium.

It will have been nearly seven years since Akon released his last LP, Freedom, during 2008 and he's making up for it with a huge collection, reportedly coming out this year. Each disc in the collection will consist of a different style of music: Pop, "Urban," "World," "Euro" and "Island" will be the themes throughout according to HotNewHipHop.

As if realizing that we listeners might be skeptical of such an epic set after so many years of silence, Akon dropped a single from each subgenre for an example. Pop's "To Each His Own" sounds as one might expect, and oddly enough so does Euro's "Bounce." Urban takes things back to the trap with "Whole Lot" but we're most excited for the island and world entries, if only for their guest stars. Damien Marley swings by "Just A Man" on the island side of things, while Nigerian pop star D'Banj swings by for "Feeling A Nikka" (which you can check out below).

The announcement ends the year in a big way for Akon, who was riding on a sour note for a while after being revealed as the biggest loser of fans on Instagram after the service began cutting fake accounts, which lost the vocalist nearly 3 million fans. Can't buy love but you can perform for it.
