Marina and the Diamonds are ending one year and starting off another by looking back at those who have passed on. On Wednesday (Dec. 31), the poppy singer-songwriter Marina Diamandis (better known as Marina and the Diamonds) released the dreamy music video for her latest Froot single "Immortals."

The sentimental clip features Marina performing the ethereal single in front of a screen. As the song plays in the background, old footage of the singer and her family plays in the background, presumably featuring those who have passed away.

There's plenty of footage of a young Diamandis, dancing on stage and jumping ina hula-hoop, as well as videos of older people dancing and enjoying each other's company.

The visual is a fitting accompaniment for "Immortals," which features lyrics about desiring to live forever but remembering those who have moved on. "When you love somebody / They'll always leave too soon / But a memory, a memory / Can make a flower bloom / We want to be remembered / Don't want to live in vein / But nothing lasts forever / This world is in a losing game," she sings poignantly in the second verse.
