Beyoncé fans who are expecting to hear her new album anytime soon may just have to wait. According to an interview with UK newspaper The Sun, producer Diplo said that the "Halo" songstress has scrapped the whole project.

The "Express Yourself" rapper and producer told the paper, "I just did two songs for her new album, well, I tried. I think she scrapped the record. The record was supposed to be done, and they have been hitting me up for brand new ideas."

He also implied that the songs Beyoncé and her came haven't scrapped may need some extra care. "I like to work from scratch, but sometimes I get called in to fix songs."

Diplo's reports that Mrs. Carter has scrapped her album seems to go along with reports from last month, wherein Ne-Yo told Billboard "They're still trying to figure out what that want [the album] to be, which I'm not mad at. Beyoncé's the kind of artist where you're not gonna see it till it's right. And her fans – they love her, so they'll be patient."

News about the follow up to 2011's 4 has been scarce. Though the singer is currently on her Mrs. Carter World Tour, it's not backing a new release. Additionally, though the album has been rumored to come out late this year, there has been no official single announced or released.

A few musical snippets from Bey have come out this year, including H&M commercial song "Standing on the Sun," which leaked in full in late June. Fans have also heard clips of "Bow Down," "Been On" and the full version of "Grown Woman."
