Bob Dylan has officially released a music video for his 1965 hit "Like A Rolling Stone," considered by many to be one of the greatest songs ever written. The video was created by digital agency Interlude in partnership with Pulse Films and Walter Pictures for the interactive video. It is an interactive piece that allows viewers to flip through 16 television channels while a variety of characters, including vintage footage of Dylan himself, lip-sync the lyrics. The TV formats include games shows, shopping networks, sports channels, and reality series.

"I'm using the medium of television to look back right at us," director Vania Heymann told Mashable. "You're flipping yourself to death with switching channels [in real life]." Adds Interlude CEO Yoni Bloch: "You'll always miss something because you can't watch everything at the same time." According to Bloch, more channels will eventually be added to the video.

As we reported yesterday, the video coincides with the release of the box set The Complete Album Collection Volume 1, which contains Dylan's 35 official albums, six live albums and two CDs of rare recordings.
