It seems like A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera are just determined to break your heart. Yesterday (Nov. 20), the up and coming band and The Voice judge released a music video for their collaboration "Say Something."

The song -- which initially gained recognition (and huge digital downloads sales) after A Great Big World stopped by and performed on The Voice with Aguilera -- is a break up anthem for the ages, and the music video reflects the somber tone of the song.

A Great Big World's Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino hang on a piano (as Axel plays the melody) and Aguilera stuns in a simple black dress that shows off her newly slimmed down figure.

Various bedroom scenes are shown depicting different forms of love lost. A little girl crawls under the bed to be with her puppy, a lonely woman wanders around the room and most touchingly, an old couple cuddles in a hospital scene, until the man silently screams out in loss. Even the musicians get into the feel of the song -- Aguilera cries often throughout the video.

It's all very poignant and heartbreaking, but such is the mood of the song.

A Great Big World first released "Say Something" in September but re-recorded the track with backing vocals form Aguilera and released the new version on Nov. 9. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Sales chart and peaked at No. 16 on the Hot 100.
