Sports rivalries can run really deep - blood can be shed, friendships ruined and even radio rotation can get a little switch-up, even if only for a week. In anticipation of the upcoming NFL playoffs game between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks, one Wisconsin radio station has stopped playing all music by Seattle artists, including Nirvana.

A rock radio station in Wisconsion, 94.5 The Lake (have you heard a more Wisconson-y sounding station?) has banned every artist from Seattle this week, from Nirvana to Soundgarden to Heart and even Pearl Jam (who are really only from Seattle by association).

In a statement on their website, The Lake explained its decision as necessary for ultimate luck this weekend.

"To help change the karma and give the Packers all the support they need for Sunday's big title game, 94.5 The Lake has chosen to 'Say No to Seattle.' No Nirvana, no Pearl Jam, no Heart, until the Packers beat the Seahawks on Sunday! Go Pack Go!," the radio station wrote in a statement.

Fans of the Seattle Sound will be free to listen to whatever they want again come Monday, unless the Packers lose and then who knows!

Wisconsin isn't the only one to embargo something during these rough times. A suburb of Seattle has also banned cheese this week, which is tragic for a few reasons. According to Sports Illustrated, Bainbridge Island, Washington, will be cheese-free on the Friday before the big game.

The Packers and the Seahawks will battle it out on Sunday.
