Lea Michele's solo career is about to kick off. Today (Nov. 27), the Glee star took to her official Twitter account to announce the release date of her first single free from her hit TV series and reveal the sexy artwork. Michele also shared the name of her debut album: Louder.

"I'VE GOT SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE WITH YOU GUYS..... :)," she wrote. "So excited for everyone to hear my first single Cannonball, off my debut album LOUDER! #CANNONBALL."

Underneath the big announcement, Michele also showed off her single cover. Shot in black and white, the "Cannonball" artwork shows a sultry looking Michele rocking a slinky black tank dress and staring straight into the camera, her hair tossed every which way.

Michele also revealed a few more details about "Cannonball." The song is due to hit the iTunes Store on Dec. 10 alongside the preorder for Louder. Additionally, Michele wrote that the track was written by Sia, who has penned hits for Madonna, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, David Guetta, Christina Aguilera and more.

Little else is known about "Cannonball" as of now.

That single, as well as Michele's full-length album will be her first recording not as a part of a cast. Michele has experienced massive success as a part of Broadway cast recordings (Spring Awakening, Fiddler on the Roof) and she's also topped the charts with the cast of Glee. Michele plays main female protagonist Rachel Berry on the hit Fox TV show.
