Music streaming service Rdio continues its big start to 2015 with another announcement about expanding its service into a bevy of new markets. Rdio has announced that it is expanding into 24 new markets across the Asia-Pacific, Central America and Caribbean regions. This is being done closely in liaison with mobile network Digicel.

The announcement comes just days after the company made the statement that it had finalized the move into India, the second most populous country in the world. The current news brings the number of total countries that Rdio now operates in to 85.

According to Tech Cruch, as a part of the deal, Digicel is offering its 14 million members across the 24 new territories and seven already existing ones 30 minutes of free access to Rdio's Internet radio each day without data charges.

"Launching Rdio in each of these markets is a huge milestone for the company," said Anthony Bay, CEO of Rdio to Billboard. "We are excited to bring the vibrant music of these regions onto Rdio for the world to hear while also providing users in each new market access to international artists. Digicel will be instrumental in shaping the streaming experience locally and we look forward to a continued fruitful partnership with them."

As of today, Jan 22, Rdio is now available in the following markets: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Fiji, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos and Vanuatu.

Rdio is also launching its exclusive partnership with Digicel in French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Martinique, Bonaire, El Salvador and Panama in addition to the new markets.
