When frontman Danny Worsnop left Asking Alexandria on Thursday, it marked the end of an era for the UK metalcore group.

"Over the last eight years together we've done some amazing things and created something truly special," Worship said in a statement (via Kerrang). "I now, same as then, want what's best for the band and at this point in time, that isn't me. Asking Alexandria will continue to tour throughout the year and will be working on a new album."

Few people thought a solution would arise less than a day later, but here we are: One pioneering individual has created a Change.org petition to make rapper Riff Raff the new lead singer of Asking Alexandria.

"They are frontmanless and without versace," Alex Baker explained. "They need someone who will tiptoe them in a new direction. The neon icon is the obvious choice. No one else is as strong or talented."

Baker is obviously not an AA fan, as evidenced by another statement:

"Not only will you gain a new fanbase but you can change your music style from that god-awful devil music you currently play," he wrote."

As of publication, the petition already had the 2,500 signatures needed to legitimize the issue. And while a Riff Raff/AA meetup is not likely to happen, fans can still see the rapper (aka Jody Highroller) on tour this spring with Chanel West Coast.

Here's the statement from Chanel (via Instagram):

Proud to announce I'm going on tour w/ the homie @jodyhighroller for all these tour dates! Come see us and get wavy [tongue smiley] [music notes] [beers] [gust of wind] [heart with stars]
