Did anyone see this split coming? I'm talking about the fact that Patrick Dempsey's wife, Jillian Fink, has filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage. The actor, who currently earns $350,000 for each and every episode of Grey's Anatomy, does not have a prenup and apparently isn't the one who wants to split up either.
The two did issue a joint statement yesterday that read, "It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the well-being of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time." But that doesn't necessarily mean that this split is going to end up being even remotely amicable.
According to a report by TMZ, "Jillian Fink filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable difference. Fink, who is repped by disso queen Laura Wasser, is asking for joint custody of their 3 kids, a 12-year-old girl and 7-year-old twin boys. She also wants spousal and child support. Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... "it remains to be seen whether it will be amicable." Sources tell us she's had a problem with his ego for a while now, which she thinks is out of control. As one source said, "She's all about the kids."
Dempsey is also reportedly worth about $40 million, give or take, which is a load of cash that ultimately will be up for grabs.
