Spongebob Squarepants is a pretty weird looking dude - but it's accepted because he's a cartoon, yellow and his body/face fits his name. When you throw the dudes of N.E.R.D. into Spongebob's square frame and pants, well, then things get a little weird. Enter in, the new music video for N.E.R.D.'s The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water soundtrack song, "Squeeze Me."

"Squeeze Me" takes Pharrell, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley out of this world and into the water, transforming the rappers into their own Spogebob selves, complete with hats (with Pharrell's signature Vivienne Westwood chapeau taking center stage, of course).

As N.E.R.D. performs the relaxed new song, they travel through the world of Bikini Bottom, hanging out at the Krusty Krab, swimming through the waters. And like Spongebob and his crew in Sponge Out of Water, N.E.R.D. jump up on land, eventually getting picked at by birds on a deserted island and, inexplicably, floating through space.

And Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward and all of those other Spongebob friends are there in the simplistic animation style, making this one of the most bizarre music video collaborations in some time.

"Squeeze Me" is the lead track from The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, which is due to hit theaters on Feb. 6. The new single marks N.E.R.D.'s first collaboration together in four years, following the release of the collective's 2010 album Nothing.
