Detroit's storied Movement Festival will make its triumphant return to its home in Hart Plaza this Memorial Day weekend, and to get fans excited for a house- and techno-filled weekend, the festival has announced the first phase of its star-studded 2015 lineup. The underground electronic music destination will feature some of the biggest names in techno, house, tech and deep house. The lineup includes some big names like Dog BloodDisclosure, Dixon, MK, Joris Voorn, Luciano and Richie Hawtin. There will be plenty of DJs bringing out their live setups like Ten Walls, Clark, Henrik Schwarz and others, via Beatport.

There will be some intriguing back-to-back sets, as there usually are, like Dubfire with Hot Since 82 and Tuskegee, which is the pairing of Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers.

There are some names who break the mold of the typical techno and house producer, like Detroit rapper Danny Brown, DJ Snoopadelic -- Snoop Dogg's DJ moniker -- and Dog Blood, the collaborative effort of Skrillex and German techno don Boys Noize. This would be their first show in more than two years and could be what Boys Noize was hinting at when he posted a cryptic Instagram photo at the end of 2014 alluding to Dog Blood.

Movement's legacy rests not only on its stellar lineups and the history it has as an old festival, but also the impact Detroit had on electronic music. Techno, the gritty, chugging electronic sound most commonly associated with Berlin clubs, was first created by the Belleville three, a trio of young black men from the suburb of Belleville outside Detroit -- Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May and Juan Atkins -- looking to create something different with the electronic machines they had.

Remember: This is only the first round of artists, so there will be plenty more to come in the following weeks and months.

Movement takes place May 23 to 25 over Memorial Day weekend. Tickets are available now on Movement's website. See the full lineup and watch the trailer below.
