Lil Wayne is not messing around at all. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Lil Wayne was suing Birdman's Cash Money Records for the $8 million advance that he was owed on Tha Carter V. Now, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ the "Start A Fire" rapper has decided to up the ante a lot and sue Birdman for a reported $51 million. He is also filing with the judge to end his contract with Cash Money Records once and for all.

Wayne is claiming that Birdman has violated the deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars, much more then the $8 million advance he originally sued for, by delaying Tha Carter V.

He claims that since Birdman and Cash Money won't pay up, which is understandable, since $51 million is a pretty staggering amount, Lil Wayne is entitled to leave the label.

In addition to Wayne's lofty financial demands, he wants the judge to declare that he's copyright owner of all Young Money Recordings, which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Christina Milian and others.

Birdman's only out at this point, according to TMZ, is to release Tha Carter V and then pay Wayne his advance plus another $2 million bonus he was allegedly owed for completing the album. Wayne has received none of this so far.

Mack Maine's prediction that this whole situation was going to be resolves amicably appears to have been very wrong, and the LP, which was going to be released in the first quarter of 2015, is also looking even more tenuous than before. It is Birdman's main bargaining chip in this whole ordeal and giving it up would be a poor play on his part.

Things are getting very ugly between Weezy and Cash Money and now scorched earth tactics are being used. Don't expect this to end well. At least fans have Sorry For The Wait 2 to tide them over.
