Yesterday we showed you a clip of Daft Punk's Julian Casablancas-assisted video for "Instant Crush." Now the robot duo has shared the full video. As Consequence of Sound deciphered, the video is likely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Steadfast Tin Solider.

The video takes place in a museum where two star-crossed lovers are kept apart.. It features Stroke's frontman Julian Casablancas singing and dancing on a platform alone in room under a spotlight. Images alternate from him to scenes of wax figures on display. A wax figure version of Casablancas, dressed as an 18th-century solider, is brought into the museum. He is put in an exhibit across from a milk maid with whom he falls in love.

Both wax figures are put into storage (along with the Daft Punk helmets). A fire starts and the two lovers melt to their deaths next to each other, holding hands. How romantically tragic!

"Instant Crush" comes off Daft Punk's most recent album Random Access Memories. Daft Punk has also shared videos for "Get Lucky" and "Lose Yourself to Dance" off the album. Check out the video for yourself here, and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
