Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of R&B legends Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home today (Jan. 31), in a series of events that almost seemed doomed to repeat history.

Brown was found in her tub by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend, unresponsive to CPR and other measures, NBC News reports. Gordon and the friend then called police and emergency services at 10:25 a.m., who lifted Brown to the North Fulton Hospital. She was then saved and brought back to life.

It is unknown what the causes of Brown's unresponsiveness were. The police investigation is ongoing, and it's unclear if drugs were at play.

Brown's near brush with death has an eerie similarity to her own mother's passing, which happened almost exactly three years ago. On. Feb. 11, 2012, Whitney Houston was found dead in her Beverly Hills hotel room bathtub at just 48 years old.

Houston, who died of accidental drowning, had been a notable user of drugs and alcohol. Though drowning was the official cause of Houston's death, cocaine and heart disease paid a factor in her passing.
