Rihanna and Kanye West changed the R&B game last week by teaming up with former Beatle and rock legend Paul McCartney for a stripped down, breezy new single "FourFiveSeconds." And just like the release of the single itself, the debut of the music video was a major surprise. Today (Feb. 3), ahead of a performance at the Grammys and a rumored joint tour, Rihanna, West and McCartney dropped the simplistic new music video for the track.

"FourFiveSeconds" pulls from its musical source for the visual. Shot in greyscale, Rihanna is keeping on trend with her i-D magazine cover and the album artwork for "FourFiveSeconds," by appearing with minimal makeup and her hair slicked back with no real product.

Rihanna, West and McCartney are all wearing denim, making "FourFiveSeconds" look a bit like a '90s Calvin Klein ad. Rihanna is also high on emotions throughout the music video, going from everything from a sassy eyeroll to laughing and tears, showing great acting range. And while the music video is very minimalistic, for such a stripped down song, the visual works perfectly, ushering in a new era for the mega-career of Rihanna.

"FourFiveSeconds" is being touted as the lead single from Rihanna's eighth studio album, which fans have been calling "R8," though news about the song's connection to the new LP is unconfirmed. The mega-star trio isn't done with the single yet, though, and will be taking it to the Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 8. Kanye West and Rihanna are also rumored to be touring together at some point in 2015.
