Big Sean was famously discovered by Kanye West in 2005 when the G.O.O.D. Music label head was in Detroit giving a radio interview. Sean ended up convincing West to listen to a few bars and two years later, he was signed to the label. The two have since worked together on songs such as West's "Mercy" and "Clique," Sean's "Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay" and "Whatever You Want," and Rick Ross's "Sanctified." Most recently, the pair teamed up for Sean's latest single "Blessings," which also features Drake. In a new video from Revolt, West talks to Sean about the changes he should expect in his career now that "IDFWU" has blown up and his album Dark Sky Paradise is on its way. West also appears to be the one responsible for having Sean put out "Blessings" as his second single.

"You a big artist now," West says to his protégé in the clip. "'IDFWU' is only gonna get bigger if you drop this song with you, Drake, and me. If you drop that sh*t, that's just gonna give you more legs. N***as is gonna be salivating on that Sean sh*t."

West goes on to explain why Sean is finally having his moment in the sun.

"Everything is happening for a reason. This sh*t is lining up beautiful - synergy. You're on God's path, man, and only success can happen to you now."

Part of the synergy West could be speaking of is the fact that Sean is now not only on G.O.O.D. Music but he's also added Roc Nation to his lineup to manage him.

Sean recently told Complex that this move was pivotal in his success.

"[They] are hungry and business minded, and have the relationships to make things happen that I wanted to happen," he told Complex of his new management company. "I wanted more campaigns, more endorsements, more commercials, more respect from my management. Since I've been with [Roc Nation], my career and my business have been on the upswing."

Dark Sky Paradise is due out Feb. 24
