Waka Flocka Flame has had an interesting past year and a half as he took the deep dive into EDM and some odd sponsorship and promotional opportunities. However, it appears he is making his way back to hip hop as he took to Twitter to announce some of the features on his upcoming album Flockaveli 2 and the release date.

The new album will be the fourth studio LP for the Atlanta-born rapper and the follow up to his debut effort in 2010, Flockaveli that really put him on the map. The features are a stunning cast of hip-hop heavyweights including Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Drake, Jay Z and 50 Cent — a list that would be on everyone's wishlist to have. Things must be going really well for Flocka to get these types of guys to appear on the album or they were inspired and wanted to hop on it.

In the same tweet he revealed a tentative release for the album on June 1, 2015.

Waka has been quiet on the official release front over the past few years, sticking primarily to mixtapes. His last studio album was 2012's Triple F Life: Friends Fans, Family, though he did release 6 mixtapes between then and July 2014. The New York City based rapper teased on Twitter a tentative tracklist for the album, which included 31 songs as noted by Complex. No label would ever release a rap album of 31 songs today, so that will obviously be trimmed down, but it is good to know he has lots of material finished. It is uncertain how much of his plans for the EDM album he was working on at some point will factor into Flockaveli 2 or if that is still in the works on the side.
