The Spice Girls haven't released new music since their 2007 greatest hits album, which spawned the single "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" that only managed to peak at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their last album of all original material was 2000's Forever. Now four previously unreleased demos from those sessions have leaked, "A Day In Your Life," "If It's Lovin' On Your Mind," "Pain Proof," and "Right Back At Ya."

These songs come from the era right after Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) left the group and the four remaining women tried to reinvent themselves. The pop landscape had changed dramatically during that time, and the group decided to take their next album in a more R&B direction. They decided to enlist Rodney Jerkins, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis to produce the majority of the album. The demo songs that have leaked, however, were recorded before this decision was made and were produced by Richard Stanndard and Matt Rowe, who were responsible for the Spice Girls' first two albums, Spice (1996) and Spiceworld (1997).

Last year, Melanie C (Sporty Spice) teased the possibility of another Spice Girls reunion in 2016 to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut single "Wannabe."

Speaking to PA (via Digital Spy) she said, "You might see a few of us having a little dance about on stage, no plans, but we'll see what we can do for you."

Mel B (Scary Spice) has also voiced her hopes for a Spice Girls 20th Anniversary reunion.

"I'm hoping we do get together and do something," she told MTV News in 2013. "It kind of would be a shame if we didn't."

However, following their reunion tour, Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), told Vogue Paris in 2013 that she no longer had a passion for the group and had no intentions to tour again.

"I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour," she said. "The day of the concert at Madison Square Gardens in New York...I put my bags and the children down, I picked up the mic and I sung. It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere. It wasn't a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn't there. By contrast, in my new career, the passion grows every year. I still want more."

Time will tell if something comes out of their 20th anniversary. But for now, at least we have some "new" music to spice up our lives!
