Following the release of his three-track EP, nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee, Miguel hasn't spoken much about the new music he is working on. However, President of Urban Music at RCA Records and ByStorm Entertainment CEO, Mark Pitts, has revealed that the follow up to his breakout album Kaleidoscope Dream might be coming as soon as this spring.

In a new interview with Billboard, he gives an update on the status of the album, saying that it is tentatively titled Wild Heart and that it's almost finished. He also describes what fans can expect to hear.

"We're 90 percent done," he told them. "Its working title is Wild Heart and we're talking second quarter. He's more confident, and it's going to show in the music, his look and in the videos. Miguel is ready to push the button. His first album was about trials and tribulations. The second was OK, we're here; I wasn't bugging. And now it's here we go. He wants people to understand who he is. He's tired of people asking, 'who are you, what's that, do you like girls?' He tells me, 'I want everyone to know I am wild, funny, edgy and love women. I need this album to connect.'"

The upcoming effort will be Miguel's third studio album. It follows Kaleidoscope Dream, which spawned the singles "Adorn," "Do You...," and "How Many Drinks?" and received a 2013 Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album with "Adorn" nominated for Best R&B Performance and Song of the Year as well as Best R&B Song, which it won. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and was featured on many end of year lists in 2012.
