Whenever a talk show host (or hosts) asks a guest to reveal the gender of their future child that is on the way, the result is usually a nervous reaction ending in nothing being revealed. But it looks like nobody told Transformers star Josh Duhamel that! During his appearance on "Live with Kelly and Michael" (which will air tomorrow), the 40-year-old heartthrob was offered a gift for his child and he gave Ripa and Strahan a solid answer with his choice. He and his wife of 4 years, singer Fergie, are expecting a baby boy this year!
"He actually did it! You actually picked one," co-host Michael Strahan said with excitement.
Josh and Fergie's baby is due in August or September of this year.
"Right now, we're just fascinated by the whole idea there's a baby growing inside of her," Duhamel told The Times back in March. "We're fascinated by every stage of its development at this point. We're already feeling a real connection to it. This is what I was meant to do, and we're both really, really excited about the whole thing.
"I know my husband told everybody what I said, my quote when we found out, 'This blank just got real," the Black Eyed Peas member told "Good Morning America" earlier this year. "It's true when that moment occurs to you that, yeah, there's going to be a human being growing inside of you. It's reality. It's amazing. We're thrilled and so excited."
Both parents are pretty busy with their respective careers, but Josh is definitely not going to miss the birth of his son.
"I can't imagine having a kid and then not being able to be there - that would just drive me crazy. My head would be at home with Mom and baby," Duhamel said in an ET Canada interview. "We want to work it out so that we can be together; whether I am working, they can come with [me] or if she is working I can go with them. I can't see myself ever wanting to be away from my wife and kid."
