Big Sean and Ariana Grande are definitely hitting the notes together out of the studio, so it only makes sense that new music the duo release together would be fire, too. Yesterday (Feb. 18), a new track from Sean's new album Dark Sky Paradise featuring his real-life girlfriend hit the web, and it has us doing plenty of "Research."

Grande appears all over "Research," supplying part of the beat with whispered "Awws" as Sean raps over her and a selection of drums.

Despite the solid state of their relationship, "Research" finds Sean rapping about girls who are little too nosy about what his side "projects" may be. "I swear these hoes be doing research / Looking around like this hair in the sink didn't come from me first," he raps in the chorus.

"Research," unlike previous Big Sean/Ariana Grande collaborations like "Problem," "Best Mistake" and "Right There," is all in Big Sean's arena, something he teased last year when talking about his new album. "She's on a song on my album, though. It's something fresh. I was just playing it for somebody and they were like, 'Woah!' She hasn't done anything like this - it's kind of more my element," he said.

Despite that, Grande shines on her hook, bringing in her signature breathy vocals, asking her man "Do you remember when you had nothing to hide, hide, hide?" after establishing that only she knows what he really works.

The beat mixed with Sean and Grande's burning natural chemistry makes this song a win. Mixed with "IDFWU," Dark Sky Paradise is shaping up to be quite the album.
