In the midst of breakup rumors surrounding his band fun. and bandmate Jack Antonoff's new project Bleachers, Nate Ruess is officially going solo. Today (Feb. 19), the "Just Give Me a Reason" singer announced that he will be releasing a new album in 2015 and teased its lead single, "Nothing Without Love" with an a cappella video.

Ruess' solo single "Nothing Without Love" will be released on Monday, Feb. 23, Billboard reports, and it will act as the lead single for his debut solo album, which has yet to receive a title or official details.

Little is known about Ruess' solo work, though he did give fun. fans a little taste of what he has to offer with a 30-second video posted to YouTube.

The video is straightforward, featuring Ruess floating in water while on his back, belting out a few lines from his new song.

"I am nothing without love / I'm but a ship stuck in the sand / Some would say that I'm all alone / But I am nothing without love," he sings with an insane amount of power in his voice, waves crashing in the background.

There's also a link to Ruess' newly launched solo project website, which is bare bones as of publication time, just including links to his social media accounts and his video teaser.

Watch that teaser below:

Ruess has also rolled out the album artwork for "Nothing Without Love," which mimicks the "ship stuck in the sand" lyric by showing him on an empty city street, surrounded by nothing but puddles.

The new video from Ruess comes ahead of his planned solo album, which will be released via Fueled By Ramen (the same label fun. is on).

See More Nate Ruess, fun.
