The time to donate for TLC's new album ended Thursday on Kickstarter and the group has more than enough to fund the new record: $430,000 to be precise (from Billboard). The duo—it doesn't seem like T-Boz and Chilli will aim to find a replacement for deceased member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes—had set a goal of $150,000 for funding the new project initially.

Based on a statement the group made on its Facebook page last month, all of the extra funds don't mean they'll be lining their respective pockets: "The more funds that we raise means more access to the best producers, writers and talent in the business!!!"

So far a few collaborators have been named by the group: Ron Fair, formerly Virgin's chief creative officer, will take on the role as executive producer. Chilli told Billboard that Ne-Yo, who wrote the song "Meant To Be"—a single that marked TLC's official comeback bid during 2013—would also participate (possibly as both a songwriter and a performer) if his schedule allows for it. Dallas Austin, one of the group's best songwriting collaborators in its glory days—responsible for hits such as "Unpretty" and "Creep"—will be involved as well. Rumors of a collaboration with Lady Gaga on a song titled "Posh Life" also abound.

The group certainly has a plethora of industry talent on its side as well. Among the biggest donors to the new album's cause were Katy Perry and fellow '90s icons New Kids on The Block. TLC will go on tour with the latter and Nelly later this year.

The group's last album, 3D, was released nearly 13 years ago, more than six months after the death of Lopes.
