Three weeks after Bobbi Kristina Brown was found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub various sources are beginning to piece together the weeks and months leading up to her medical crisis. We heard from pretty early on that there were drugs found in the 21-year-old's home and now apparently several people close to her are saying that she was definitely not clean and sober at this point in her life. We know that just months before her accident, her best friend, Chelsea Bennett, died of a heroin overdose.

According to an exclusive report by People magazine, "Multiple sources who know Brown confirm to PEOPLE that she regularly used heroin, cocaine and Xanax in recent months. She was also a heavy drinker, the sources say. One of the sources who saw Brown regularly says she often appeared to be high, slurring her words and seeming incoherent. Brown had been "in and out" of rehab in the three years since her mother died. Brown was "distraught" over the anniversary of her mother's death on Feb. 11, which fueled her addiction despite attempts at recovery, the source adds."

Sadly, Brown's condition has yet to improve. The only change that we know of is that her breathing tube was removed last week in favor of a tracheostomy tube. That tube is thought to be for more of a long term situation and because they cut into Brown's neck to put it in place, even if she miraculously recovers, she may never be able to speak normally because of it.

Do you think that drugs likely contributed to the current state that Brown finds herself in or is this all just a tragic accident? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
