For all the reunion talk going on about 2014, a new name entered into the fray after a brush with a paparazzo on Monday. Cee Lo Green, approached by a crack-reporter at Los Angeles International, said that Gnarls Barkley, his duo with producer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton will be working on something during 2014. To quote him directly, Barkley will reunite "like, next year."

It's only a reunion in quotation marks because the R&B-pop duo never formally broke up, but it's still a surprise considering how busy the pair has been with other projects. Since the group last performed together during 2008, Green has released his own solo album, released an album with his first group Goodie Mob, and of course hosted on The Voice. Burton is always involved in some production project, but most notable is his collaboration with James Mercer, Broken Bells, which is slotted to release its second album, After The Disco, during January.

Green didn't indicate whether the reunion would consist of new music, touring, or both. Obviously Burton's involvement with Broken Bells will call for some touring in support of the new album, but there are already rumors that Gnarls Barkley will make an appearance at Coachella, the venue for the mush spoken of Outkast reunion.

Gnarls Barkley's first album was supposed to be a standalone, but the massive success of the record and its single "Crazy" led to the recording of The Odd Couple during 2008. Green has spoken of interest in getting together for a third album with Burton in the past.
